windows update down

When launching Windows Update it tries to look for updates but comes up with an error message,
Code 8024402C
Yesterday I also had problems with uploading my reports via the Beta Client. It eventually worked when I clicked on "Upoad" on the left side of the Client and picked the report(s) that failed to be uploaded before and went through the rest of the process of uploading it.
Is this due to the high demands caused by all of the testers, simply overestraining Microsoft's servers (and staff) or is it something else?

It's working again. maybe just a "hiccup".
